Msakhan Wraps:
Ingredients:
1. Six lavash wraps
2. Two chicken breast cut into strips
3. Two large red onions sliced thin
4. Half a cup of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
5. One tablespoon of Montreal Chicken seasoning, or seasoning salt
6. One teaspoon of black pepper
7. Half a teaspoon allspice powder
8. Salt
9. 2 tablespoons of Sumac
In a hot skillet, add more than half of the olive oil. Add in the onions and let them carmelize as I did in the video. Once the get some color, make a well in the middle and add in the chicken and the rest of the olive oil. Add the salt and mix until the chicken starts to turn white. Then cover the skillet, for about two minutes. The chicken should release some liquids at this point. Mix in the seasoning except for the Sumac. Cover and let simmer for about five minutes. Uncover and mix in the Sumac.
You can use this chicken filling in the lavash wraps and press them in a panini grill. Bake them in an oven. Or, you can use tortillas or pita bread. It’s also good with a fork or on some rice.
Serve with cucumber yogurt salad and enjoy!
