Spinach Pies

Ten Minute Dough w/ milk to make the fastest and easiest spinach pies.

Ten Minute Dough w milk

Spinach filling:
• 2 lb of fresh washed and chopped spinach
• 3 onions diced and sauté until slightly translucent in 1/2 c extra virgin olive oil
• 1/2 tsp chili powder
• 2 tsp salt
• 1 tsp black pepper
• 1/4 c sumac
• 3 lemons juiced
Mix well in a large mixing bowl. Check flavor and add salt or more chili if you like it spicier. Place all of the mix in a strainer before using so the liquids don’t make the dough soggy.

Make your dough using the recipe below.

Ten minute dough
2 1/2 c flour
1 cup warm whole milk
1 tbs active yeast
1 tbs sugar
1/4 c olive oil
1/2 tsp salt

In a mixer or mixing bowl.
Mix together:
1. 1 c of flour
2. The yeast
3. The sugar
4. The salt
5. And the warm milk
When incorporated well. Cover and set aside for ten minutes.

Once the ten minutes passes, preheat your oven to 450f. Fill and bake till golden

Add in the rest of the flour and oil. Once it’s all combined you can work with it. Either mini pizzas, spinach pies, meat pies etc….
