Halal Corn Dogs
Who can relate to smelling delicious corn dogs at Six Flags or any carnival and not being able to eat them because they either weren’t halal or when you asked if they had pork, the employees looked suspicious 🤨. Well now ima help you and your kids out! Let’s grab some @alsafafoods halal beef hotdogs and make them at home!
Ingredients:
⁃ 1 package Alsafa foods halal beef hotdogs
⁃ 1 cup cornmeal
⁃ 1 cup flour
⁃ 1 1/4 c buttermilk
⁃ 2 tbs butter melted
⁃ 1/3 c milk
⁃ 1 large egg
⁃ 2 tbs sugar
⁃ 1/2 tsp salt
⁃ 2 tbs baking powder
⁃ 8 craft or kabob sticks
⁃ Frying oil atleast a quart
⁃ Large pot wide enough for the hotdogs to be length wise
Directions:
This part is easy! Preheat your oil on medium heat, while prepping the batter. Mix all the ingredients listed above excluding the hotdogs, oil, sticks and pot!
Pour the thick batter into a mason jar or large cup deeper than the hotdogs.
Stick a craft stick atleast half way through each hotdog. Check your oil if it’s ready by dropping in a spoon of batter, it should bubble up as soon as it hits the oil. Otherwise the oil isn’t ready. Once the oil is ready hold the stick to dip the hotdogs into the batter. One at a time, let them fry until golden all around. And thank me later! I’d love to see your remakes! Tag me and @alsafafoods in your remakes to be featured!
