
Beef Samosas
The perfect side dish to add to your dinner table!
Ingredients:
⁃ 2 packages of empanada disks thawed out
⁃ 1 pound of lean ground beef
⁃ 2 cups of frozen peas and carrots
⁃ 2 cups of frozen diced hash brown
⁃ 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
⁃ 1/2 red onion diced finely
⁃ 1 tbsp curry powder
⁃ 1 tsp black pepper
⁃ 1 tsp salt
⁃ 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
⁃ 1 tbsp Garam Masala
Steps:
In a skillet sauté the hash browns with a little oil, until lightly browned. Add in the peas and carrots until soft. Set that mixture aside and in the skillet; sauté the onion till soft, add in the beef and break it up mixing in the seasonings.
Once meat is fully cooked, add in the cilantro and the potato mixture. And your ready to start filling your samosas.
Take each empanada disk, cut in half. And put one teaspoon of filling and fold over. Use a fork to code the open sides. Freeze solid and store in a freezer safe ziplock bag.
Once ready to fry, heat canola oil on medium high heat. Fry frozen, and enjoy!
